The Past and Present Collide in Antiques and Art

Past and Present Home Gallery will combine the old with the new during the last Wine and Art Crawl of the season! On Thursday, July 14, 2016 historical Downtown Alexandria will be hosting the Wine and Art Crawl from 5pm-8pm.

Here at Past and Present Home Gallery, we are excited to display art from the students of Alexandria Technical and Community College’s Communication Art & Design Program! While you enjoy your samples and hors d’oeuvres you can browse through this award winning collection varying from oil paintings, graphite drawings, photographs, and digital illustrations produced by students in both their first and second years of education. The art being showcased has also been presented to the American Advertising Federation’s Central Minnesota Chapter in student competition and received numerous gold and silver awards. Some pieces have even gone on for entry in the state and national levels of competition. Instructor Paul Johnson will be available to answer questions about the collection and will be demonstrating of some of the artistic techniques taught in the program.

The Furniture Sale Has Been Extended!

Shop now at Past and Present Home Gallery to take advantage of our extended furniture sale! We have a large variety of furniture on sale from vintage dining and bedroom sets, unique wardrobes and armoires, one-of-a-kind dressers, and antique buffets.

Choose from several tables on sale of all shapes and sizes including this gorgeous solid oak table with six matching press-back chairs. The table features a new finish on top and all of the chairs have been re-glued.

This mid-century bedroom set has been newly painted in complementing cream and brown tones while keeping all of its original hardware. The set includes a full size headboard and footboard, vanity with mirror, tall chest of drawers, and nightstand.

One of our buffets on sale includes this beautiful, antique piece featuring ball-in-claw feet, pendant-drop drawer pulls, and a bottle drawer. Bottle drawers were usually lined with lead to hold ice for keeping bottles cool.
