Antiques to Mingle with Art

Historical Downtown Alexandria is hosting the first Wine and Art Crawl of the season on Thursday, June 16, from 5–8pm. The event starts at the AAAA Theatre where you can purchase your wristband for $5. Then you can tour the downtown and enjoy wine samples and refreshments, artist exhibits, demonstrations, and register for door prizes. Past and Present Home Gallery is thrilled to be participating again this year and we would love to introduce you to our featured artist: KT Design!

KT Design uses oil cloth for creating bags that are both stylish and easy to keep clean.

These beautiful creations are the work of a local designer and have become one of our store’s unique collections. The selection includes totes, scarves, credit card and gift-card holders, chap-stick key chains, car-caddies, and many other one-of-a-kind designs. KT Design uses oil cloth, where designer fabrics are adhered to another clear material to create a surface that can be wiped clean of any spills or splatters while maximizing your gorgeous sense of style.

Totes come in all shapes, sizes, and color combinations that make carrying around essentials look good. Large bags are perfect for beach and gym necessities, while medium and small bags are ideal for carrying books or lunch on the go.

The Molly Zip-It’s come in two sizes and are a great accessory for your travel luggage. Car-Caddies are another unique shape that features a one-handle design useful for tying to the back of a headrest. The pocket is the perfect size for keeping mittens, remotes, toys, and other necessities.

During the colder seasons, KT Design features items created in designer flannel including infinity scarves and pillowcases in various colors and patterns. These super-soft items are the perfect compliment to your wardrobe and home décor.

Not everything at our store is an antique. One of our talented local artists has quite the imagination when handcrafting these one-of-a-kind art pieces.
